This course provides knowledge on core concepts in machine learning, successful applications in practice, traditional machine learning algorithms, their advantages and disadvantages, advanced topics, trends, and recommends powerful software frameworks and tools for the students' practice and use. Through a team-work course project, the students can get a practical experience on design, implementation and performance evaluation of a machine learning based system.
